Sometimes in life you have to stop and ask yourself every now and then, “ What in the world is going on?” Sometimes the answer is right there and sometimes it’s not. Some things are left unknown until later because I feel that if we knew the reason why, we will interfere with the plan that God has for us. You may sometimes think like why me? Well God says, “Why not you?” “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” (Jeremiah 29:11) God does not want to destroy you at all. You still say, “God why so much pain? Why do I go from struggle to struggle, and trial after trial? Why can’t I get through one disaster before another erupts? What in the world is going on? Why is this drama piling up in my life? Am I cursed, is this a curse toward me and and what did I do wrong?” You begin to ask all kind of questions because you are confused and at some point ready to throw in the towel. Well to be truthful, to live life in lack filled with poverty, sickness and diseased is a curse that is not of God. Sometimes it’s because of the CHOICES we have made and we are not living in the will of God so therefore nothing is going to go right until you live and follow the will of God. Now you have to deal with the consequences of your CHOICES and ask God to give you the strength to be strong and hang on while He carries you through! Also we may sometimes think that we are following the will of God but we are not. For example. Paul in the book of Acts thought that he was headed in the right direction following the will of God but he wasn’t so God had to intervene and redirect his journey.

You have to BELIEVE that God will protect and guide you through the storm. You have to ask for strength to go through and have FAITH because His will has to be done. Remember that God’s way is not to destroy you but to give you life and that it’s not about YOU! Once again if God was to give you the answer upfront you may not be able to handle it and corrupt the plan that God has to lead you out of the storm to your destination and purpose in life that He has for you. One more time, “It’s not about you!” One last word of encouragement to leave you with is….Praise God in the mist of the storm and believe with all your heart and soul that God has your back! Just imagine someone approaching you at gun point demanding to blind fold you. Then you are guided into a pitch black room and asked to remove the blind fold. Now close your eyes an imagine that the blind fold is now off, it’s pitch black dark in the room and you can’t see a thing! Then as the person is exiting out the room leaving you a alone in the dark, they tell you that there is someone in the room that is trying to kill you! WoW! Pretty scarry huh? What in the world are you going to do? What is your next plan or next step? Now just think for a moment on what you should or would do even though you don’t literally walk around with a blind fold everyday, but you are under attack everyday from the enemy who’s unseen and his main desire is to destroy you. It’s like being in that dark room not knowing where he is or where he is lurking at. But just think there is saftety and security available if you will just ask the Holy Spirit to come into your heart and make your bossom His home. After doing so you have to trust and believe that your daily walk will be much easier because He can see and hear what you do not hear or see and is able to guide you in your daily walk through life.
You can’t walk this journey alone. Your eyes cant see the unseen, nor will welcoming the Holy Spirit stop the enemy from trying to attack you daily. But with the Holy Spirit living within you, you have a protector who will shield you from the enemy and a guider who will lead you to saftey. God Bless!!

Can you recognize when God is communicating with you and shows up in your life? I once read a story about a woman who was crying to God for service and wondering why she was tied up in her home and unable, like other women, to go out and reach a broader place. Her bright little girl was playing beside her and calling in vain to the preoccupied mother to help her with her little doll, which had lost a finger or a garment, and which to her was the central object of life.
Again and again she came to the mother with her little trouble, and the mother, fretted and worried with her own spiritual need, pushed her off, and at length, rather harshly sent her away and told her not to bother her, as she was busy about higher things. Wearied and disapointed, the little one went off alone into a corner and sat down with her little broken doll and cried herself to sleep.
A little while afterward, that mother turned around and saw the little rosy cheeks covered with tears, and the little wrecked doll lying in her bosom, and then God spoke to her, and said, “My child, in seeking some higher service for Me, you have broken a little heart of Mine. You wanted to do something for Me. That little child was the messenger I sent, and that little service was the test I gave you. He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in more, and he that is unfaithhful in the least is unfit for the greater.” WoW! The mother from that moment on learned her lesson and picked up her little daughter and kissed her awake; then she asked God and her baby to forgive her and from that hour on she began to pour out the love of Christ on every object that came in her way. What a thought to think about huh? What little things might God be sending your way as His messenger that you consistently ignore? Think about it…..

“The magic word” is a word that will perform wonders for anyone regardless of age or calling. For any man, woman, or child, the magic word brings new meaning and usefulness to life. This four-letter word carries with it clarity, self-respect, and satisfacation.
This magic word is work! To live life to its fullest translates into work. Years ago the people of a very successful civilization thought they had all the answers to success. The king called the wisest people in the kingdom together and said, “I want you to write down all the reasons why we are successful. Place them in writing so future generations will be able to read them and duplicate our success.” They worked frantically for nearly two years and came back with the answer. It consisted of twelve volumes.
The ruler glanced at it and said, “This is great, but it’s too long.” He then challenged them to simplify their findings. Worn down and beaten, six months later they came back with their findings confined to one sentence. If all future generations understood this one sentence, they would be in a position to conquer anything. The sentence simply read: “There’s no such thing as a free lunch!”
Work gives our life meaning. Work raises our self-image. Work is victory. So get busy and work with all your might.

WoW! It’s time to get out of the survival mode and wondering how in the world am I going to accomplish this or that. That is total nonsense and shows no faith at all. I believe as long as you are in survival mode you are not going to make it anywhere. Survival mode is like having one foot in the door with the other outside the door panicking to get in. Guess what? When you are thinking in fear you are not accomplishing anything and will not accomplish anything. You cannot focus when you are in panic mode and worried about what tomorrow is going to bring. If you are already in a bad situation or haven’t reached your goal at the set time, it’s fine, calm down and relax. Sometimes God puts you in the survival mode for a reason. I believe He wants to know are you going to panick or rely on Him. Remember this always, He is the Alpha and the Omega, the begining and the end. He will provide for you and come through if only you just believe and have faith while you are steady working on your goal. You have to go after your goal as if you know that you already obtained it. So, from this day forward, get out of survival mode and trust and believe with all your heart that God has your back wether you fall off the wagon or not. Just get back on the wagon and keep it moving without the fear of losing. Stay focused and stay positive knowing that the good Lord has got your back!

It’s a New Year and what are you gonna do? Did you make your New Years resolutions yet? Did you map out your game plan? Are you going to stick to it? Did you say to yourself, “I promise I will follow through.” Well, whatever you do this year with your life, make sure that it means something and you are not wasting time and energy on things that don’t mean you no good. As we all know life is short, some of us left this earth minutes before the stroke of 12AM and some of us left minutes after. So whatever you decide to do with your life this year, make sure it is positive and that you do not forget the Lord Almighty who wake you up every morning and enable you to follow through on your resolutions and plans. So with that being said, I just want to say enjoy this year to the fullest. Make a commitment to follow through on your plans you set out for yourself and if you run into obstacles along the way, take a breather but don’t QUIT! So, when this time next year arrives, you can say thank you Jesus for giving me strength to follow through and thank you Jesus for allowing me to Make It!!
